The Mekong Delta and the communities that Anh Duong partners with are highly vulnerable to climate risks. The impact of extreme weather events such as droughts or floods can devastate livelihoods. We seek to mitigate these impacts through community-based initiatives including waste treatment, recycling and sustainable agricultural practices. These initiatives contribute towards improving the well-being of communities, preserving local ecosystems and creating a more sustainable future.

Recycling Programs
Anh Duong also encourages local people to use recycled plastic panels to build houses. From January 2020 until now, Anh Duong has supported 33 vulnerable households to build houses from recycled plastic panels.
Since April 2022, Anh Duong has provided 260 sets of student desks and chairs made with recycled plastic waste for 13 primary and secondary schools in Anh Duong’s project area.

Local sanitation programs
Anh Duong has supported local households in constructing more than 1,300 biogas systems, 2,709 water wells, and 3,332 toilets. This initiative has helped improve sanitation conditions and quality of life while raising community awareness of environmental protection, sustainable resource use, and family health care.
